Job summary

ALDI Tech Hub Kraków is building and operating scalable BI solutions for ALDI Nord’s international data analytics platform. You will develop BI strategy, create analytics dashboards, and ensure robust operation of BI tools in a hybrid work environment.

You will work with data engineers to refine data requirements, design ETL pipelines, and model data while leveraging Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik Sense to deliver insights for diverse stakeholders in English.

Qualifications

• Completed studies in business informatics, statistics, business intelligence, data analytics, or a comparable qualification.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in BI, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or a comparable field.
• Strong knowledge in developing audience-appropriate reports and dashboards for various stakeholders and the ability to analyze and model complex datasets.
• Advanced programming skills in R, Python, SQL, or similar technologies, with strong experience in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik Sense.
• Strong analytical thinking, structured work approach, and enjoyment of solving complex new tasks.
• A high degree of independence, accuracy, and quality awareness.
• Good English skills, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate scalable solutions for ALDI Nord’s international Data & Analytics platform.
• Develop solutions for advancing the international BI strategy using Microsoft cloud technology.
• Support project teams in the design and implementation of holistic BI and analytics solutions—from data provisioning to dashboards.
• Ensure the stable operation of BI tools within operations, monitoring, and incident management.
• Define KPIs and implement them in Power BI reports and cubes/datasets.
• Develop measures to improve BI tool performance balancing cost-to-benefit for end users.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers on data requirements through SCRUM and joint concepts.
• Main focus is BI, with optional backend development involving new data sources and ETL pipelines.

Your tasks

• Together with your team, you design, develop, and operate scalable solutions for ALDI Nord’s international Data & Analytics platform.
• You develop solutions for advancing the international Business Intelligence strategy with regard to BI architecture and the self-service approach, based on leading Microsoft cloud technology.
• You support project teams in the design and implementation of a holistic BI and analytics solution approach—for data provisioning to interactive analysis dashboards.
• You ensure the stable operation of our BI tools within the framework of operations, monitoring, and incident management.
• Your define key performance indicators and implement them in Power BI reports and cubes/datasets.
• You develop and implement measures to improve the performance of BI tools for end users- always balancing the best cost-to-benefit ratio.
• You closely collaborate with Data Engineers on data requirements through joint concepts and user story refinements (SCRUM).
• Your main focus is in Business Intelligence, but ideally you also bring experience in backend development (e.g., connecting new data sources, developing and optimizing ETL pipelines, data modeling).

Requirements

• Completed studies in business informatics, statistics, business intelligence, data analytics, or a comparable qualification.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or a comparable field.
• Strong knowledge in developing audience‑appropriate reports and dashboards for various stakeholders, and the ability to analyze and model complex datasets and share this knowledge with your team.
• Advanced programming skills in R, Python, SQL, or similar technologies, as well as strong experience with business intelligence tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik Sense.
• Strong analytical thinking, structured work approach, and enjoyment of solving complex new tasks.
• A high degree of independence, accuracy, and quality awareness.
• Ability to handle uncertainty and strong motivation to design new processes and concepts.
• Good English skills, both written and spoken.
