Job description

As Manager, Data within the Commercial Excellence team, you will lead a team of 6 analysts responsible for product selection, price competitiveness, and promotional budget optimization across all target markets (PL, CZ, SK, HU). Your primary mission will be driving the strategic transformation of the department-shifting the focus from manual operational execution to high-value business intelligence. Partnering closely with Technology teams to automate core processes, you will establish data-driven frameworks for campaign mechanics, pricing strategies, and ROI forecasting. Beyond the numbers, you will act as a empowering mentor, building a high-trust, engaging culture and driving long-term organizational impact through effective leadership and delegation.

In your daily work, you will handle the following tasks:
  • People Leadership & Transformation: Lead, mentor, and re-engage a team of 6 analysts, driving their evolution from operational execution into a strategic "think tank" for the business
  • Automation & Efficiency: Partner with Technology teams to optimize and automate manual workflows, shifting team capacity toward high-value analytics
  • Pricing & Selection Frameworks: Define selection logic, promotional pricing, and benchmarking tools to maintain top-tier price competitiveness across all regional markets (PL, CZ, SK, HU)
  • Campaign & Investment Analytics: Track the end-to-end campaign performance funnel (from listed offers to GMV), evaluating discount effectiveness, ROI, and sourcing efficiency for major events (e.g., Black Week, Allegro Days)
  • Forecasting & Strategic Planning: Support business investments through scenario, variance, and forecast analyses against GMV, selection, and budget goals
  • Market & Competitor Intelligence: Identify assortment gaps relative to competitors and establish category selection priorities to drive product relevance
  • Bridge Between Business & Tech: Translate complex, ambiguous commercial problems into clear execution roadmaps and technical requirements for automated reporting
  • End-to-End KPI Ownership: Define and track KPIs for selection quality and investment impact, delivering actionable recommendations directly to senior decision-makers.
We are looking for people with:
  • People Leadership:Proven experience (2+ years) in people management and development, with a track record of rebuilding team morale, driving engagement, and leading through delegation rather than operational execution
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of e-commerce pricing, assortment strategies, and commercial levers, with a proven ability to translate strategy into tangible business impact.
  • Analytical Mindset: Advanced analytical skills with the ability to define, interpret, and leverage key data and performance metrics to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Navigating Ambiguity: Proven ability to operate effectively, make sound decisions, and deliver results within complex, dynamic, and uncertain business environments.
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional influencing and relationship-building skills in a matrix organization, with a demonstrated ability to align cross-functional partners with or without direct authority
  • Strategic & Tactical Execution: Strong strategic thinking balanced with a bias for action—capable of defining long-term vision, understanding competitor and market dynamics, and driving short-term execution
  • Entrepreneurial Ownership: High level of autonomy, initiative, and proactive problem-solving skills
  • Language Skills: Professional proficiency in English (minimum B2+ / strong C1 level), both written and spoken
What's in it for you:
  • Flexible working hours in the hybrid model (4/1) - working hours start between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. We also have 30 days of occasional remote work
  • Annual bonus based on your annual performance and company results
  • Well-located offices (with e.g. fully equipped kitchens, bicycle parking, terraces full of greenery) and excellent work tools (e.g., raised desks, ergonomic chairs, interactive conference rooms)
  • A 16" or 14" MacBook Pro or corresponding Dell with Windows (if you don't like Macs) and all the necessary accessories.
  • A wide selection of fringe benefits in a cafeteria plan - you choose what you like (e.g., medical, sports or lunch packages, insurance, purchase vouchers)
  • English classes that we pay for related to the specific nature of your job.
  • A training budget, inter-team tourism, hackathons, and an internal learning platform where you will find multiple trainings
  • An additional day off for volunteering, which you can use alone, with a team, or with a larger group of people connected by a common goal
  • Social events for Allegro people - Spin Kilometers, Family Day, Fat Thursday, Advent of Code, and many other occasions we enjoy
