Job summary

Colibri Group is seeking a Business Development Specialist to drive growth for Moreland University, collaborating with the Head of Partnerships and Development. The role focuses on expanding partnerships, increasing student enrollments, and expanding the TEACH-NOW program.

You will identify opportunities, monitor revenue streams, and build cross-team alignment to meet market needs, with occasional travel to support partnerships and sales efforts.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of previous experience in sales/Business Development, ideally within the realm of K-12 or education related.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Development or Marketing, MBA preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of business development, marketing strategies, and brand expansion.
  • Experience in identifying profitable business opportunities and potential clients.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and competitor behavior.
  • Ability to maintain strong client relationships and establish industry partnerships.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Create and build pipeline with school district partners and international school partners to create opportunities to expand reach of Moreland’s best-in-class TEACH-NOW teacher certification program
  • Monitor revenue streams and identify opportunities to lead growth across US markets.
  • Identify new clients by researching and creating networking opportunities.
  • Collaborate consistently across university teams to ensure our program is aligned to market needs
  • Negotiate and close business deals that promote sustained revenue
  • Anticipate business cycles and market trends to strategically plan for and build capacity and skills within the University to do the same; collaborates with the work of the Academic Team to keep an eye on the programming needed to ensure the strategic growth of the University can be achieved
  • Occasional travel (15%) as needed

Position Overview

The Business Development Specialist works with the Head of Partnerships and Development to improve sales and growth in terms of innovation in market expansion, school and business partnerships, and increasing student enrollments. This person is a dynamic and experienced sales specialist who is excited about growth and who cares deeply about supporting teachers to provide impactful learning experiences for their K-12 students.
