DCG is seeking a dedicated Business Analyst to model value chains, processes, and data, and to elicit and analyze requirements and user stories. You will support product owners and drive improvements across the lifecycle.

You will document business needs, translate them into specifications, and help design systems, test plans, and change management. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualificações

• 8+ years in IT roles.
• 5+ years in a business analyst or similar position.
• English level at least C1 (certificate accepted).
• Experience through complete software lifecycle.
• Knowledge of BPMN notation and UML modelling.
• Proficient in modelling notations and tools such as UML diagrams, activity diagrams, data models.
• Experience in public sector or EU institutions is a plus.

• Identify process optimization opportunities to improve service, costs, or revenues.
• Communicate objectives, business cases, requirements, and scope to stakeholders.
• Conduct quantitative analysis of processes including cost-benefit and what-if analyses.
• Plan organizational change processes and monitor performance.
• Support strategic and tactical planning and transition roadmaps for business architectures.

Business Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Models and documents value chains/streams, business processes, roles, capabilities, and data


• Elicits and analyses business needs, requirements, and user stories


• Supports business experts and product owners during the definition of requirements and software development


• Maintains and tracks requirements/user stories throughout the systems lifecycle


• Translates business, user, and technical needs into business requirements specifications


• Maps business goals, project benefits, priorities, components, and system features


• Analyses available systems and evaluates potential solutions


• Supports identification of options for possible solutions


• Assists in the preparation of business cases and feasibility studies


• Contributes to systems design, testing, quality assurance, and change management


• Designs, validates, and tests business processes to achieve business process excellence


• Takes a holistic approach in planning and managing programmes for continuous improvement of business processes


• Coaches staff on upcoming changes and ensures plans are in place to teach new skills and/or implement process changes


• Collaborates with owners of end-to-end processes to continually identify opportunities for improvement


• Identifies opportunities for business process optimization, leading to improved customer service, reduced costs, or increased revenue (effectiveness and efficiency gains)


• Communicates project objectives, business cases, requirements, and scope to stakeholders to ensure alignment and rapid response to business needs


• Conducts quantitative analysis of business processes, including cost-benefit and what-if scenarios


• Plans and manages organizational change processes


• Implements performance monitoring systems for business processes


• Supports business users in developing strategic and tactical plans (e.g., sector strategies, implementation plans, etc.)


• Supports the definition of transition roadmaps for business architectures

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of relevant IT experience


• Minimum 5 years in similar position


• At least two internationally recognized certifications in business analysis, such as CBAP, Certified UML Professional (Foundation Level), BPM 2 Fundamental Level, or equivalent certifications accepted by the Contracting Authority


• English level: C1 confirmed by a certificate or be willing to take the exam


• Has gone at least 1 time through the complete lifecycle of the software solution


• Knowledge in business processes modelling using BPMN notation


• Knowledge in requirements/user stories elicitation and analysis


• Knows analysis/modelling notations like UML (capability diagram, activity diagram, state diagram, logical data model etc.)


• Is proficient in using modelling tools like Sparx Enterprise Architect, Aris Architect or others


• Presents excellent analytical and communication skills


• Holds ability to create and maintain analytical and project documentation effectively


• Presents problem solving skills


• Knows how to develop a Business Architecture and its elements


• Has experience in the role of Business Analyst in a project(s) aimed at business processes improvement or redesign


• Has experience in the role of Business Analyst in a project(s) project aimed at analysis, design, implementation and deployment of ICT Solution that enabled (1) content production or (2) reporting tools or (3) analytical tools


• Has experience working for/at the public sector, preferably in EU Institutions or International organisations
