For our Client, an international logistics group operating across the UK and Europe, we are looking for an experienced Branch Manager / Operational Director to take responsibility for the development and day-to-day operations of its growing Polish transport business based in Wrocław. This is a hands-on leadership role combining operational management, commercial development and business growth.

Our Client is a UK-headquartered group of logistics companies operating across transportation and warehousing in the UK and Europe. We are therefore looking for a commercially minded operational leader who can help turn opportunities into profitable and scalable business lines.

Description

• Taking full responsibility for the operational and commercial performance of the Wrocław business
• Managing and developing the local transport operation, including drivers, planners and operational staff
• Ensuring high standards of service, fleet utilisation, cost efficiency and profitability
• Managing the day-to-day international road transport operations across Europe
• Actively developing the customer portfolio and acquiring new B2B customers
• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with customers, carriers and other key business partners
• Identifying and developing new business opportunities in the Polish market
• Supporting the development of cooperation with Amazon and evaluating dedicated transport opportunities
• Assessing and developing the company's freight forwarding business
• Building a reliable network of carrier partners
• Development of ADR transport services
• Preparing business cases and proposals for fleet expansion and further business growth
• Managing budgets, KPIs and key profitability drivers
• Optimising transport costs, fleet utilisation and operational processes
• Working closely with the UK headquarters on the company's growth strategy
• Taking ownership of the implementation of agreed growth initiatives

Profile

We are looking for a hands-on transport leader with an entrepreneurial mindset, rather than a purely corporate executive.
