Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Financial Management, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of bookkeeping or accounting experience (AU client experience is a plus).
• Working knowledge of Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks — Xero preferred.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsabilidades

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to work as a Virtual Assistant supporting Australian small businesses and sole traders — all from the comfort of your home in the Philippines. This role is perfect for accounting or finance graduates and professionals who want to build experience with Australian clients without needing to work abroad. You will keep financial records accurate and up to date, assist with GST and BAS, and help clients stay on top of their day-to-day finances using cloud-based tools like Xero.

What you will do

• Record daily financial transactions accurately in Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks
• Perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable — create invoices, track payments, and follow up on overdue accounts
• Categorise income and expenses in accordance with Australian chart of accounts
• Assist in preparing and reviewing Business Activity Statements (BAS) for GST reporting
• Process payroll and calculate superannuation contributions for Australian employees
• Maintain and organise digital receipts and financial documents using cloud storage tools
• Generate basic financial reports — profit & loss, aged receivables/payables — for client review
• Liaise with clients via email to clarify transactions, gather documents, and provide updates
• Support the accounting team or external accountant during EOFY (end of financial year) preparation
• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Financial Management, or a related field
• At least 1 year of bookkeeping or accounting experience (AU client experience is a plus but not required)
• Working knowledge of Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks — Xero is preferred
• Basic understanding of Australian GST, BAS, and superannuation is an advantage
• Good written and verbal English communication skills
• High attention to detail with strong numerical and organisational skills
• Stable internet connection and a quiet, dedicated home office setup
• Comfortable working on AU business hours (mornings to afternoons, PH time)

Nice to have

• Prior experience with an outsourcing or BPO company supporting AU/NZ clients
• Familiarity with Australian payroll, award rates, and Fair Work compliance
• Experience using Receipt Bank / Dext, HubDoc, or similar document capture tools
• Comfortable with tools like Google Workspace, Slack, Asana, or Microsoft 365
