Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Poland is seeking a Body Shop Joining/Spot Welding Engineer to support the Jawor plant as it expands battery-electric LCV production. You will own joining processes, calibrate weld equipment, and drive quality through Process Control Plans and SPC.

The role requires a mechanical/ manufacturing engineering background, 2–3 years in automotive joining, and fluency in English with German being a plus. Travel to other locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years in automotive manufacturing with joining process focus.
• Extensive knowledge of Body Shop joining processes.
• Experience with Process Control Plans, SPC and data analysis tools.
• Knowledge of welding equipment and CAD systems.
• Lean manufacturing principles applied in automotive production.

Responsibilities

• Own Joining & Spot Welding processes in Body-in-White/Body Shop/Welding Shop.
• Ensure joining quality and analyze measurement results to identify causes of mismatches and implement corrective actions.
• Create and develop Process Control Plans and respond to loss of joining characteristics.
• Setup/Configuration of joining equipment and weld gun calibration.
• Manage the strategy for Quality Checks (Nondestructive & Destructive).
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality & Engineering.
