Job summary

GlobalLogic Kraków is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead complex software delivery initiatives in collaboration with Hitachi Japan engineering teams. The role requires strong Japanese and English language skills and a proven track record in managing SDLC projects.

You will guide teams, manage risks, and ensure delivery on time and within budget, while coordinating with stakeholders across Japan and Central/Eastern Europe.

Qualifications

• Written and spoken Japanese language proficiency (JLPT N1 or N2)
• Written and spoken English language proficiency (B2 or higher)
• Hands-on experience in IT project management – best in the area of software development life cycle
• Proven track record of working closely with customers across multiple SDLC stages
• Proven communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate working between Japan and CEE based teams
• Ability to make decisions with a limited amount of information
• Ability to guide the team through uncertainty and complexity to deliver agreed content
• Self-reliant

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute and maintain project plans, deliverables, and project documentation.
• Elicit, analyse, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to clarify business needs and priorities.
• Translate business requirements into actionable specifications for the delivery team.
• Establish and maintain trusted and effective communication with the customer, stakeholders, and GlobalLogic project teams.
• Tailor project delivery processes to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Monitor, manage, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Manage distributed project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support backlog refinement, scope management, and change request assessment.
• Ensure alignment between business objectives, project scope, and delivered solutions.
• Identify opportunities for process and solution improvements.
• Report project status, risks, and key challenges to stakeholders in a clear and structured manner.
