Spencer Ogden is seeking a Project Engineer to support utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System projects across Poland and the wider EMEA region. The role requires strong electrical power systems background, field delivery experience, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Power/Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of five years’ relevant engineering experience in utility-scale energy or grid projects.
• Valid Polish construction licence covering electrical design and drawings.
• Experience delivering power systems for utility-scale installations, PV, storage, or similar energy infra.
• Strong AutoCAD skills and ability to review drawings.
• Knowledge of EPC delivery for HV/MV systems, substations, or renewables.
• Familiarity with Polish grid regulations and Polish energy legislation.
• Knowledge of IRiESP, IRiESD, NC RfG and PSE requirements.
• Understanding standards for substations, transformers, MV, BESS.
• Experience coordinating multi-discipline teams and stakeholder management.
• Fluency in Polish and English.
• Certifications and specialist training are a plus.

Mansioni

• Manage external engineering consultants, subcontractors and internal multidisciplinary teams across electrical, civil, network and permitting activities.
• Take responsibility for assigned equipment supply-only and EPC projects up to MV grid connection.
• Ensure engineering deliverables are completed on time, within budget and to required quality standards.
• Review engineering designs to verify compliance with project specs, contracts and regulations.
• Coordinate design reviews and align with ISO 9001 quality processes.
• Identify opportunities for value engineering and improved constructability.
• Support procurement by developing technical specs and reviewing proposals.
• Consider country-specific engineering requirements and cost implications.
• Manage project escalations and mitigate engineering risks.
• Ensure safety requirements and KPIs are met.
• Collaborate to improve processes and delivery.
• Travel to BESS project sites across Europe and the UK as required.
