Calan is seeking an experienced Project Manager for BESS initiatives in Poland. You will identify, develop and oversee storage projects, coordinating planning, studies, permitting, and stakeholder engagement to ensure on-time delivery and cost control.

The role requires deep knowledge of energy storage, renewables and strong leadership, with English proficiency and a valid driving license. A long-term collaboration in employment or B2B is offered.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop BESS projects in Poland with feasibility assessments.

• Support financial modeling and revenue strategy for BESS.
• Interface with suppliers and EPC contractors during design/execution.
• Oversee delivery from development to commissioning within targets.

Our client is a fast-growing independent renewable energy producer and a key European player in energy transition. The company manages the entire value chain, from project design and development to construction and operation of wind farms and photovoltaic power plants. Its activities focus primarily on solar, wind and BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) with an ambitious strategy for growth and portfolio optimization across Europe.

To support its expansion, we are currently looking for an experienced professional for the position of:

Scope of Responsibilities

• Identifying and developing BESS projects in Poland, assessing technical, economic, and regulatory feasibility
• Leading project planning, including timelines, budgets, risk analysis, and resource allocation
• Coordinating internal and external studies and managing permitting and authorization processes
• Engaging with local stakeholders, authorities, and partners to ensure project acceptance
• Supporting financial modeling and defining revenue strategies for BESS projects
• Acting as the technical interface with suppliers and EPC contractors during design and execution phases
• Overseeing project delivery from development through construction and commissioning, ensuring quality, schedule, and cost targets are met

Requirements

• Excellent market knowledge and industry network in renewable energy sector
• Experience in energy storage, system services and renewable energy
• Degree in Engineering (general, electrical or energy)
• Professional working proficiency in English
• Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills
• Driving license is essential
