Job summary

Jit Team is seeking a backend developer to own and evolve customer-facing tracking services on AWS. You will design, implement, and maintain scalable APIs and serverless features within an agile, self-organising team. Qualifications

• 3+ years of back-end development experience with Python or Scala.
• 2–3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services, including Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, EventBridge (including Pipes), DynamoDB and S3.
• Practical experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. DynamoDB), including data modelling and query optimisation.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of good coding practices, unit and integration testing, code reviews and version control (Git).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly CloudFormation.
• Genuine interest in technology and architecture, with an openness to exploring and discussing different solutions.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Work model : Hybrid - 1 day per week from the Gdańsk office

Project

Join a mature, self-organised agile team responsible for customer-facing tracking products. The project focuses on consolidating tracking channels into a single customer entry point, introducing new customer notifications and scaling event-driven APIs.

Expected competences and knowledge

3+ years of back-end development experience with Python or Scala.

2–3+ years of hands‑on experience with AWS services, including Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, EventBridge (including Pipes), DynamoDB and S3.

Practical experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. DynamoDB), including data modelling and query optimisation.

Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.

Knowledge of good coding practices, unit and integration testing, code reviews and version control (Git).

Experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly CloudFormation.

• Previous Scala experience is a plus. Alternatively, a Kotlin or Java background.
