Job summary

EPAM Systems in Poland is seeking an Azure Databricks Platform Engineer to join our data platform team in a remote or hybrid setup. You will ensure stability, scalability, and security of Azure Databricks and Data Lake environments to enable advanced analytics and governance at scale.

You will implement automation, governance, and performance optimizations, administer workspaces, enforce access controls, and collaborate with stakeholders to align standards.

Qualifications

Experience with Azure Databricks and Data Lake Storage Gen2.
Hands-on Terraform for Databricks deployments.
Python scripting for automation and tooling.
RBAC and Entra ID access management, Unity Catalog governance.

Responsibilities

Administer Azure Databricks and Data Lake Storage Gen2 workspaces.
Enforce access control using RBAC and Entra ID.
Apply Unity Catalog governance, data lineage, and policies.
Develop automation scripts and REST API integrations.
Monitor platform health, ensure reliability, and respond to incidents.
Collaborate with stakeholders to align standards and governance.
Troubleshoot issues and optimize performance.
Document processes and maintain best practices.
