Job summary

HSBC Service Delivery in Kraków seeks a Senior Test Engineer to build and lead an Avaloq-based test automation suite for the GPB Core Banking Platform. You will optimise automation levels, select tools, and ensure regulatory and group controls are met while maintaining platform stability.

You will manage a team, engage senior stakeholders, and contribute to continuous improvement across testing lifecycles in a Private Banking context. English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong testing background, including test automation using TestMaster.
• Solid understanding of the Private Banking domain.
• Experience working on the Avaloq platform.
• Strong technical capability in Avaloq scripting and DDIC.
• Knowledge of Avaloq reporting/interfaces.
• Proven debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to design IT solutions with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Accountability for unit and integration test coverage with stakeholders.
• Strong leadership skills engaging senior stakeholders across systems and functions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
• Ability to document solutions with structured analysis techniques.
• Experience across multiple functional domains.

Responsibilities

• Build test automation capability for the Avaloq GPB Core Banking Platform.
• Lead the design and development of an Avaloq Test Suite with high automation coverage.
• Minimise manual intervention across testing and operational lifecycles.
• Select tools to maximise performance and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Ensure group controls are maintained and remediation is swift.
• Be accountable for platform operational stability, integrity and availability.
• Functionally manage the team to deliver the automation suite in line with customer needs.
