HSBC Service Delivery in Kraków seeks an IT Business Analyst to support Avaloq change and delivery across HSBC locations and system landscapes. You will connect business stakeholders with product owners, developers, testers, architects, vendors and control functions, translating banking needs into practical, well-controlled technology solutions.

This role involves analysing requirements, documenting processes, and ensuring traceability through release.

Qualifications

• Engage stakeholders to understand goals, processes and outcomes.
• Translate requirements into Avaloq functional/technical specs.
• Document current and future processes and data flows.
• Identify gaps and propose compliant solutions aligned with HSBC controls.
• Assess impact across Avaloq modules, integrations and reporting.
• Collaborate with architects, developers and testers to define designs.
• Define acceptance criteria and testing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Engage stakeholders to understand business goals, processes, controls, users and expected outcomes.
• Analyse requirements and translate them into clear Avaloq functional and technical specifications.
• Document current and future processes, business rules, data flows, interfaces, dependencies and operational impacts.
• Identify gaps between business needs and Avaloq functionality, recommending solutions aligned with product standards and HSBC controls.
• Assess the impact of changes across Avaloq modules, configuration, customisation, integrations, data, reporting and support processes.
• Work with architects, developers, testers and vendors to define solution designs, interfaces, data mappings and non-functional requirements.
• Define acceptance criteria, test scenarios and expected results for functional, integration, regression, migration and user acceptance testing.
• Analyse defects and production issues, support root-cause analysis, and maintain traceability from requirement through release.
• Support estimation and prioritisation by identifying scope, dependencies, risks and delivery effort.
