Job summary

HSBC in Poland seeks a seasoned Technology Leader to drive Avaloq deliveries and lead global engineering teams reporting to the Head of Engineering, Banking Platform. You’ll shape architecture, ensure code quality, and align delivery with business priorities.

Responsibilities include advancing Agile and DevOps practices, managing risks and governance, recruiting and developing talent, and building the capability to scale the Avaloq platform across locations.

Qualifications

Deep Avaloq expertise and end-to-end delivery experience.
Strong leadership of global engineering teams.
Solid understanding of private banking functions and risk.
Hands-on engineering mindset for platform interfaces and deployment.
Excellent written and spoken English with stakeholder influence.

Responsibilities

Lead Avaloq deliveries and oversee end-to-end development lifecycle.
Ensure code quality and adherence to standards and guidelines.
Collaborate with stakeholders and tech teams to plan deliveries using Agile/DevOps.
Support recruitment, talent management, and governance activities.
Partner to implement a robust location strategy for Avaloq workforce.
Identify risks and ensure governance and mandatory trainings.
Drive automation strategy with Test Manager.
Promote Agile maturity and measure release quality and incidents.
