Job summary

Appsierra Group is seeking an Automation Engineer to lead commissioning activities for PLC, SCADA and automation systems. You will perform functional testing, FAT/SAT follow-up, start-up efforts and troubleshoot issues during ramp-up.

The role involves coordinating with process, electrical, production and IT teams, and reviewing supplier deliverables. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in industrial automation, strong PLC/SCADA hands-on skills, and experience across the full automation lifecycle

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial automation engineering.
• Proven experience in commissioning industrial process installations.
• Strong hands-on experience with PLC programming, SCADA systems, and industrial control systems.
• Experience throughout the automation lifecycle from design to commissioning and handover.
• Ability to analyse and resolve complex technical problems in a fast-paced project environment.

Automation Engineering

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain and update automation documentation, procedures and drawings.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, safety regulations and commissioning procedures.
• Contribute to knowledge transfer and operational readiness activities.

Technical profile requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial automation engineering.
• Proven experience in commissioning industrial process installations.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• o PLC programming
• o SCADA systems
• o Industrial control systems
• o Automation troubleshooting
• Experience throughout the automation lifecycle, from design to commissioning and handover.
• Ability to analyse and resolve complex technical problems in a fast-paced project environment.
• Experience working with contractors, system integrators and multidisciplinary project teams.
