Sii Poland is seeking a Commissioning Technician to join international projects, managing commissioning and startup of industrial machines, intralogistics systems, and automation at client sites across the USA and Europe. You will travel frequently, work with engineering teams, and gain valuable international experience.

• Education and experience in electrical installations or electrical/mechatronic assembly.
• Minimum 2 years in commissioning or maintenance of industrial machines and equipment.
• Ability to perform functional tests and verify solutions.
• Knowledge of I/O checks and automation devices.
• Reading and working according to technical documentation.
• Willingness to travel abroad (~60% annually).
• Category B driving license and Polish language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform commissioning and start-up of industrial machines and equipment across intralogistics, automated lines, and process systems.
• Test machines and software to verify performance.
• Check electrical connections and input/output signals (IO checks).
• Parameterize automation devices (inverters, sensors, servo drives).
• Verify installation operation and sensor positioning before handover to engineer.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and automation faults and report irregularities.
• Support client commissioning and cross-disciplinary knowledge exchange.
• Participate in technical acceptance, documentation, and training.
• Assist with installation and assembly activities from diagnostics.
• Adhere to health and safety standards and regulations.

Job description

We are looking for a Commissioning Technician (f/m/x) who wants to participate in international projects and have a real impact on the commissioning of modern industrial and intralogistics systems - from the first start-up to final tests at the client site.

If you enjoy fieldwork, a dynamic environment, and are not afraid of frequent business trips (over 60% of the time), this role is for you. On a daily basis, you will diagnose and solve technical problems, collaborate with engineering teams, and participate in implementing solutions directly at clients. Projects are mainly carried out in the USA and Europe, providing an opportunity to gain valuable international experience.

Your tasks

• Performing commissioning and start-up of industrial machines and equipment according to documentation in various sectors such as intralogistics systems, automated production lines, and process systems
• Testing machines and software
• Checking electrical connections and input/output signals (IO check)
• Parameterizing automation devices (inverters, sensors, servo drives)
• Verifying installation operation, mechanics, and sensor positions before handing over to the engineer
• Diagnosing and reporting electrical, mechanical, and automation faults
• Supporting the team during client commissioning and cross-disciplinary collaboration, knowledge exchange
• Participating in technical acceptance, preparing documentation, acceptance, training
• Installation and assembly activities resulting from equipment and system diagnostics
• Working in compliance with health and safety standards and regulations

Requirements

• Education and experience in electrical installations, electrical/mechatronic assembly; preferred in areas such as electronics, electrical engineering, mechanics, mechatronics, automation and control systems, or related fields
• Minimum 2 years of experience in commissioning or maintenance of industrial machines and equipment
• Ability to perform functional tests of machines and verify the correctness of solutions
• Knowledge of conducting I/O checks (input/output signal verification)
• Basic knowledge of industrial automation and working with automation devices
• Experience in device parameterization (e.g., inverters, sensors, servo drives)
• Ability to diagnose faults (electrical, mechanical, and automation) and report irregularities
• Reading and working according to technical/project documentation
• Willingness to travel abroad (about 60% of the time annually)
• Category B driving license
• English language proficiency at B2 level
• Required presence in Poland and fluent Polish language skills
• Possession of a valid passport
