Job summary

VASS BENELUX in Warsaw is seeking an Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain automated IT operations. You will write scripts (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and use Ansible and IaC tools to provision and manage infrastructure across VMware and cloud platforms.

The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience, strong collaboration across teams, and familiarity with ITIL-based change management and security practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of automation engineering experience.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, PowerShell or Bash.
• Experience with Ansible and IaC tools.
• Knowledge of virtualization and major cloud platforms.
• Experience with ITIL-based change and release management.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automated IT operations tooling.
• Analyze IT processes and develop automation strategies.
• Write scripts in Python, PowerShell, or Bash to automate tasks.
• Use Ansible and IaC tools to provision and manage infrastructure.
• Follow ICT change management procedures and document changes.
• Provide 2nd line support and coordinate with 3rd line teams.
• Update technical documentation and SOPs.
• Engage in coordination and project meetings.
• Advise on IT security standards.
