Job summary

Frontex seeks an Automation Engineer to design and maintain automated IT operations in Warsaw. The role covers VMware, Azure/AWS/Google Cloud, and Linux/Windows Server environments, with a 70% on-site and 30% remote setup.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in similar roles, strong scripting skills (Python/PowerShell/Bash), and hands-on experience with Ansible and IaC tools. Aimed at high reliability and security in a complex environment.

Qualifications

Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell or Bash.
Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible.
Experience with Infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform or VMware ARIA Automation.
Strong knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere) and Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or Google Cloud).
Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux Red Hat configuration and automation.
Experience in collaborating with multiple support groups.
Experience with ITIL change management and release processes.

Responsibilities

Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems and tools for IT operations (VMware, Azure/AWS/Google Cloud, Windows Server, Linux).
Analyzing IT processes, proposing automation strategies to improve efficiency and scalability.
Writing scripts to automate tasks and system integration.
Using Ansible and IaC frameworks to provision and manage infrastructure.
Recommending and implementing IT best practices.
Coordinating changes per ICT procedures and providing second-line support.
Updating documentation and operating procedures.
