Job summary

A.P. Moller - Maersk is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for Network Core Engineering to lead a global team delivering secure, scalable network core services.

The role focuses on reliability, automation, and continuous improvement across enterprise connectivity, cloud interconnects, and platform interfaces. You will partner with architecture, security and product operations to drive modernization, measure performance, and optimize total cost of ownership while maintaining high service

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in enterprise network backbone, cloud networking and data center networking in global, multi-vendor environments, including senior engineering leadership.
• Proven record leading build-and-run services combining engineering, operations, and automation disciplines.
• Detailed network design engineering, integration, optimisation across OSI layers.
• Strong product-led mindset for internal platforms with clear service contracts and customer outcomes.
• Effective stakeholder leadership across infrastructure and cyber security teams.
• Strong people leadership with a track record of building diverse, inclusive teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a global engineering team responsible for building and running network core services with reliability as a primary outcome.
• Own the product engineering lifecycle for core connectivity services, including roadmap, modernization and debt management.
• Define service indicators, monitor health, and drive improvements based on data and incidents.
• Drive automation-first delivery with IaC, CI/CD, safe deployment patterns and controlled rollouts.
• Collaborate with Network Ops and product teams to scale self-service onboarding and standardization.
• Improve delivery performance and operational outcomes by introducing measurable engineering practices.
