Job summary
Auctane is seeking an Associate Software Engineer in Poland for a hybrid role. You will join an engineering team and contribute to backend development, APIs, and test automation, applying Java and Spring Boot skills in a collaborative, international setting.
You will work with AWS, BPM workflows, and CI/CD pipelines, gaining hands-on experience while growing your technical capabilities in a rapidly expanding organization.
Qualifications
- Good knowledge of Java (Java 17+), with strong OOP fundamentals.
- Understanding of Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
- Knowledge of RESTful API development.
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium or Playwright.
- Proficiency in clean code practices and test design principles.
- Ability to communicate in Polish and English.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot. Design, build, and consume RESTful APIs.
- Assist in developing and maintaining BPM workflows.
- Learn and work with AWS services such as EC2 and S3.
- Develop and maintain test automation solutions using Playwright and Java.
- Write clean, maintainable code following framework patterns and best practices.
- Execute comprehensive testing for new features and system changes.
- Collaborate with engineers to design and implement automation scenarios.
- Debug failures and investigate system issues.
- Support CI/CD processes using GitHub and Jenkins.
- Monitor application performance using Datadog and Elasticsearch.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues with support from the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environment.
- Continuously learn new technologies and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

As an Associate Software Engineer, you'll join one of our engineering teams in Poland and work on projects that match your background, technical skills, and areas of interest. - Develop and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot. Design, build, and consume RESTful APIs.
- Assist in developing and maintaining Business Process Management (BPM) workflows.
- Learn and work with AWS services such as EC2 and S3.
- Develop and maintain test automation solutions using Playwright and Java

- Understanding of Spring Boot and Spring Framework
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles
- Basic understanding of RESTful API development
- Clean code practices
- Experience with at least one framework:Selenium, Playwright, or similar
- Understanding of test design principles
- Proficiency in Polish and English is required for this role
- Knowledge of Microservices architecture
- Exposure to Docker or Kubernetes, and Jenkins or CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of BDD/TDD concepts
- Contributions to GitHub or open-source projects
- Exposure to data-driven testing patterns (Excel, JSON, CSV)
- Familiarity with API testing concepts and RestAssured
- Knowledge of Maven or other build tools
- Understanding of Guice or other dependency injection frameworks
- Lombok usage for code generation
