Job summary
Auctane in Poland (Wroclaw) is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join our Poland engineering team. You will contribute to backend development, APIs, and test automation across our products and platforms, collaborating with experienced engineers in a fast-paced, international environment.
You’ll gain hands-on experience with modern technologies, including Java 17+, Spring Boot, AWS, and CI/CD practices, while growing your skills and career in the expanding Auctane engineering organization.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Java (17+), OOP fundamentals.
- Experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
- RESTful API development and clean code practices.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as Selenium or Playwright.
- Polish and English proficiency required.
Responsibilities

As an Associate Software Engineer, you’ll join one of our engineering teams in Poland and work on projects that match your background, technical skills, and areas of interest. Depending on your experience and skillset, you may contribute to areas such as backend development, APIs, and/ or test automation across our different products and platforms.
You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, gaining hands‑on experience with modern technologies and development practices while continuing to build your technical skills. - Develop and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot. Design, build, and consume RESTful APIs.
- Assist in developing and maintaining Business Process Management (BPM) workflows.
- Learn and work with AWS services such as EC2 and S3.
- Develop and maintain test automation solutions using Playwright and Java
- Write clean, maintainable code following framework patterns and best practices
- Execute comprehensive testing for new features and system changes
- Collaborate with engineers to design and implement automation scenarios
- Debug failures and investigate system issues
- Support CI/CD processes using GitHub and Jenkins.
- Monitor application performance using tools such as Datadog and Elasticsearch under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues with support from the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environment.
- Continuously learn new technologies and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
- Good knowledge of Java (Java 17+ preferred) with strong OOP fundamentals
- Understanding of Spring Boot and Spring Framework
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles
- Basic understanding of RESTful API development
- Clean code practices
- Experience with at least one framework: Selenium, Playwright, or similar
- Understanding of test design principles
- Proficiency in Polish and English is required for this role
- Knowledge of Microservices architecture
- Exposure to Docker or Kubernetes, and Jenkins or CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of BDD/TDD concepts
- Contributions to GitHub or open-source projects
- Exposure to data-driven testing patterns (Excel, JSON, CSV)
- Familiarity with API testing concepts and RestAssured
- Knowledge of Maven or other build tools
- Understanding of Guice or other dependency injection frameworks
- Lombok usage for code generation
- Annual Salary Review: We are reviewing the salaries of all our teams annually in order to evaluate an increase according to individual performance and the business results.
