Job summary
Auctane is expanding its Poland engineering hub in Wroclaw. We seek a Java backend engineer with 2+ years of experience to design, build, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java 17+ and Spring Boot.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of backend development with Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
- Strong REST API design, OOP, patterns, and software engineering principles.
- Experience with Git/GitHub and Agile methods (Scrum/Kanban).
- Hands-on automation testing with JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, Cucumber, Rest Assured, or Karate.
- API/integration testing with automated test suites.
- Proficient English and Polish.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.

As a Software Engineer, we are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineerwith 2+ years of experience in Java backend development. The ideal candidateshould have strong expertise in Java 17+, Spring Boot, Business ProcessManagement (BPM) workflows, AWS cloud services, and automation testingframeworks. You will be responsible for developing scalable enterpriseapplications, ensuring application quality through automated testing, andcontributing to the complete software development lifecycle.

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java 17+ and Spring Boot/Spring Framework.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Business Process Management (BPM) workflows and process automation solutions.
- Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot applications on AWS (EC2, S3, and related services).
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and manage source code using GitHub.
- Monitor application health, performance, and logs using Datadog and Elasticsearch.
- Develop and maintain automation test suites to ensure application quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.
- Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards, secure coding practices, and software engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relatedfield.
- 2+ years of experience in backend application development with Java 17+ andSpring Boot / Spring Framework
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, object-oriented programming, designpatterns, and software engineering principles.
- Experience with Git, GitHub, and software development using Agilemethodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Hands-on experience with automation testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG,Selenium, Cucumber, Rest Assured, or Karate.
- Knowledge of API and integration testing with automated test suites.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment.
- Passion for learning new technologies and contributing to engineering best
practices. - Proficiency in Polish and English is required for this role
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Exposure to Microservices Architecture.
- Familiarity with cloud-native application development.
- Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Knowledge of BDD/TDD practices and integrating automated tests into CI/CDpipelines.
