Job summary
Auctane is hiring a Software Engineer to strengthen our Poland-based engineering hub. You will work on scalable backend systems using Java 17+ and Spring Boot, focusing on BPM workflows, API integration, and cloud deployments.
The role involves building automated tests, contributing to CI/CD, and collaborating across teams in a fast-paced Agile environment. Polish and English proficiency are required.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of backend development with Java 17+ and Spring Boot
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, OOP, design patterns
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
- Hands-on automation testing with JUnit/TestNG/Selenium/Cucumber/Rest Assured/Karate
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java 17+ and Spring Boot/Spring Framework
- Develop and enhance BPM workflows and process automation solutions
- Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with internal/external systems
- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot on AWS (EC2, S3)
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
- Monitor health and logs with Datadog/Elasticsearch
- Develop automation test suites to ensure quality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software
- Participate in code reviews, secure coding practices, and best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner

As a Software Engineer, we are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer with 2+ years of experience in Java backend development. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java 17+, Spring Boot, Business Process Management (BPM) workflows, AWS cloud services, and automation testing frameworks. You will be responsible for developing scalable enterprise applications, ensuring application quality through automated testing, and contributing to the complete software development lifecycle.

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java 17+ and Spring Boot/Spring Framework.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Business Process Management (BPM) workflows and process automation solutions.
- Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot applications on AWS (EC2, S3, and related services).
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and manage source code using GitHub.
- Monitor application health, performance, and logs using Datadog and Elasticsearch.
- Develop and maintain automation test suites to ensure application quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.
- Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards, secure coding practices, and software engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in backend application development with Java 17+ and Spring Boot / Spring Framework
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software engineering principles.
- Experience with Git, GitHub, and software development using Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Hands‑on experience with automation testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG,Selenium, Cucumber, Rest Assured, or Karate.
- Knowledge of API and integration testing with automated test suites.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced Agile environment.
- Passion for learning new technologies and contributing to engineering best practices.
- Proficiency in Polish and English is required for this role
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Exposure to Microservices Architecture.
- Familiarity with cloud-native application development.
- Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Knowledge of BDD/TDD practices and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
