Job summary

Aristocrat, a world leader in gaming content and technology, is seeking a Lead Accountant - Asset Capitalisation in Kraków. You will manage end-to-end asset capitalisation, oversee fixed assets and depreciation, and collaborate with Commercial Finance and software teams to ensure compliant treatment of capital projects.

Lead project accounting cycles, mentor juniors, and drive improvements in capital governance across regions while maintaining robust audit trails and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in financial accounting with asset capitalisation and project accounting.
• Strong IFRS/GAAP knowledge for PPE and amortisation.
• Ability to apply judgement in complex capex decisions and communicate outcomes to stakeholders.
• Experience in large, multinational environments with high capex volumes.
• Proven governance and audit readiness in financial controls.
• Ability to partner with non-finance teams (Technology, Operations, Procurement).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end asset capitalisation processes with timely recognition of capex.
• Oversee project accounting lifecycle including development assets, transfers, disposals, and depreciation.
• Review and approve capitalisation assessments with sound judgement.
• Maintain integrity of the fixed asset register and audit trails.
• Support month-end and year-end close with journals and reconciliations.
• Drive capital governance improvements and automation opportunities.
