Job summary

Aristocrat is seeking a Lead Accountant - Asset Capitalisation to own end-to-end capitalisation processes and fixed asset accounting. You will partner with Finance, Procurement and Project teams to ensure compliant treatment of capex and robust asset governance.

The role requires strong IFRS/GAAP knowledge, 5+ years in asset accounting, and experience in large/multinational environments. You will drive month-end close, asset movements, and depreciation reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience with IFRS/GAAP related to PPE, intangible assets, and capitalisation policies.
• Ability to apply judgement in complex capitalisation decisions.
• Experience in multinational environment with high capex volumes.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end asset capitalisation processes and timely recognition of capex.
• Partner with Commercial Finance and software development teams on capital vs expense decisions.
• Oversee project accounting lifecycle including development assets, transfers, disposals, and depreciation.
• Review and approve capitalisation assessments and complex transactions.
• Ensure integrity of the fixed asset register and audit trails.
