Job summary

ABB is seeking an Application Service Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of business applications, from onboarding through ongoing maintenance and improvement. You will coordinate IT, business, and vendor teams to ensure stable operations and effective service delivery.

The role requires leading migrations, system integrations, and M&A-related transitions, while driving governance, risk management, and continuous service improvements across a hybrid work model. Fluent English is required.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in Service Management and application management, including managing lifecycles and ensuring support, availability, performance, and service quality.
Experience leading IT projects and initiatives, especially migrations, system integrations, infrastructure changes, upgrades, or decommissioning.
Experience working in complex cross-functional environments coordinating across business, IT, infrastructure, security, architecture, and external vendors.
Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills; ability to align priorities and resolve escalations.
Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall project delivery methodologies.
Knowledge of cloud infrastructure with basic knowledge of Azure and SharePoint administration.
Strong ownership and delivery mindset; able to work independently with multiple priorities.
Fluent English, both written and spoken.
Knowledge of Azure DevOps and Azure Portal is a plus.

Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end lifecycle and service management of business applications, ensuring stability, availability, performance, security, and overall service quality.
Act as the accountable owner for the application service from introduction and operational readiness through to transformation or retirement.
Lead and own application-related projects and initiatives, including migrations, system integrations, infrastructure changes, upgrades, and decommissioning.
Coordinate M&A-related application integration and transition activities, migration, consolidation, handover, and retirement.
Coordinate cross-functional activities across IT, business, infrastructure, security, architecture, and external vendors, managing risks and issues.
Drive continuous improvement and application optimization, translating actions into measurable service improvements.
Manage vendors and application-related financials, contracts, budgets, costs, and software licensing.
Ensure governance, security, risk management, and operational compliance across the application landscape.
Provide clear service reporting and management visibility on health, performance, risks, costs, and improvements.
