Job summary

bonprix is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join the Group Finance Support team in an international environment. You will process invoices, postings in SAP, manage travel expenses, and resolve supplier inquiries with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

You will work closely with German headquarters and other group entities, ensuring VAT compliance and standardizing processes while contributing to automation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years in accounting/finance.
• Solid understanding of fundamental financial and accounting principles.
• Proficient Excel and IT affinity.
• Experience with SAP FI and SAP MM.

Responsibilities

• Process and verify incoming invoices and ensure accurate posting in SAP.
• Handle travel expense claims and supplier inquiries/complaints.
• Prepare credit notes and settlements; monitor vendor accounts.

Job description

Support the German headquarters and group entities by managing accounts payable activities, including invoice processing, reconciliations, and financial controls. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will help ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant financial processes across the group.

Your Contribution

You will be responsible for processing and verifying incoming invoices, ensuring accurate posting in SAP, validating invoice data, managing travel expense claims, handling supplier inquiries and complaints, preparing credit notes and settlements, monitoring and clearing vendor account items, resolving discrepancies in cooperation with internal stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with German VAT and other legal requirements. Additionally, you will support the continuous improvement of financial processes through standardization, optimization, and automation initiatives.

Your Environment

The Group Finance Support team will be closely cooperating with the German headquarter and different stakeholders across departments and group companies. You will work with the SAP accounting system and support financial processes in an international environment.

Your Qualifications

Your Education

You hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field and have a solid understanding of fundamental financial and accounting principles.

Your Experience

You have a minimum of 2 years experience in an accounting / finance related field, industry or shared service.

Your Skills

You have a minimum B2-level English proficiency. You also have good Excel skills as well as analytical and numerical skills. You possess deep accounting process knowledge and the ability to handle complex transactions independently. In addition you bring a strong IT affinity and experience with SAP FI and SAP MM.
