Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking an AI Experimentation Engineer within the Data, Analytics & Artificial Intelligence (DAAI) organization. You turn AI opportunities into feasibility experiments, comparative evaluations, demonstrators and technical spikes to inform architecture and platform decisions.

Design time-boxed experiments, build prototypes, and conduct fair evaluations of models, services and vendors. You will document results and collaborate with AI Research Engineer and AI Opportunity

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in AI/ML experimentation and prototyping.
• Experience evaluating LLMs, ML models, AI services or integrations.
• Fluent English and strong communication; report results clearly and honestly.

Responsibilities

• Design and run time-boxed experiments and technical spikes against learning questions.
• Build prototypes, test harnesses, reference implementations and integrations.
• Conduct fair comparative evaluations of AI models, services, frameworks and vendor options.
• Create early demonstrators to make new AI capabilities tangible for stakeholders.
• Document methods, results and constraints with reproducible assets.
• Collaborate with AI Research Engineer and AI Opportunity Lead; provide evidence to architecture and platform teams.
