Job summary

Ampere in Warsaw, Poland, is seeking an AI Performance principal Software Engineer to drive the development and optimization of cutting-edge AI frameworks, pushing high-performance and energy-efficient computing for future AI workloads.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration across engineering and cloud platforms, optimize architectures for throughput and latency, and validate AI frameworks with rigorous testing to ensure robustness and scalability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related technical field & 8 years of related experience; or Master's degree & 6 years; or PhD & 3 years.
• Proficiency in Python and C++ with a strong emphasis on performance tuning.
• 3+ years of experience developing or optimizing high-performance computing systems and cloud-based architectures.
• Software development experience with AI frameworks – PyTorch, llama.cpp, ONNX, etc is a big plus.
• Understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, including neural networks and data processing frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated integrity, autonomy, and ownership in handling tasks and projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced AI frameworks to ensure top-tier performance and scalability.
• Optimize existing AI architectures to enhance computational efficiency, increase throughput and reduce latency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into Ampere's cloud-native processor platforms and accelerators.
• Conduct detailed testing and validation to guarantee the robustness and reliability of AI frameworks.
• Stay informed about new technologies and methodologies in AI and machine learning, driving innovation in the field.
• Tackle complex AI application problems, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Contribute to a collaborative and dynamic work environment, supporting continuous improvement and excellence.
