Job summary

Webellian is seeking an Engineering Manager for Advanced Analytics/AI at a large enterprise. You will lead AI engineering teams delivering agent-based and voice AI services integrated with digital products.

You’ll own people management, performance, hiring, resourcing, and delivery leadership, while senior engineers keep technical decisions. Collaboration with governance and frontend/backend leads is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of engineering experience with at least 3 years in people management leading AI delivery teams.
• Experience managing 6–15 engineers across two or more domains such as ML and conversational AI.
• Strong literacy across AI stack for mentoring without overriding senior leads.
• Structured hiring experience with rubric-based interviews and onboarding programs.
• Familiarity with governance, ethics reviews and AI regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow AI teams: hiring, onboarding, performance management, career development, and 1:1s.
• Coordinate AI service delivery across agent-based and voice/conversational capabilities.
• Coach technical leads on prompt engineering, NLU/NLP, and speech-flow design.
• Partner with governance stakeholders on compliance reviews and responsible AI practices.
• Lead cross-team ceremonies, planning, and continuous improvement of delivery flow.
• Run hiring processes and design interview rubrics aligned with applied-AI delivery.
