Job summary

ABB is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Agentic AI to unlock agentic AI capabilities across its ELSE digital services portfolio. You will build, integrate, and operate production-grade AI agents and workflows, moving solutions from pilots to secure, enterprise-ready implementations.

You will mentor colleagues, collaborate with architects, product owners, data engineers, and software teams, and ensure reliable, scalable asset management and maintenance decision support across ABB's digital

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in CS/Software Engineering/AI/Data Science or related field.
• 7+ years of software engineering, delivering enterprise-grade backend and cloud solutions.
• 2-3+ years building AI-powered applications, LLM-integrated systems, or agent-based workflows in production.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI agents and multi-step workflows for ELSE digital services.
• Turn designs into scalable, production-ready implementations.
• Connect agent workflows with enterprise platforms and APIs.
• Define patterns for tool use, memory, orchestration, and workflow execution.
• Implement human approval flows, guardrails, and operational monitoring.
