Appfire is seeking a Lead QA Engineer to own automation strategy in a remote-first setting. You will stay hands-on, advance Playwright UI/API automation, and set quality gates across squads, mentoring others without people management.

You will design test data patterns, improve CI/CD, collaborate with architects and DevOps, and help shape AI-assisted testing and responsible automation practices for a long-lived SaaS platform.

Formación

• 7+ years in QA/test engineering with a track record of evolving Playwright automation on large SaaS products.
• Hands-on skills with Playwright (UI and API) and JavaScript/TypeScript and/or Python.
• Experience with AI-assisted development for test design and failure analysis.
• Ability to diagnose and fix systemic quality issues and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong CI/CD experience and Docker proficiency in cloud-hosted delivery.
• Ability to define automation architecture and quality standards used beyond a single squad.

Responsabilidades

• Build and refactor Playwright automation (UI and API) and establish patterns and quality gates across squads.
• Serve as the primary technical escalation for unstable suites and CI bottlenecks.
• Define test data and environment patterns to scale automation in CI/CD.
• Advise on API, component-level, and E2E test strategy with architects and leads.
• Mentor QA engineers on Playwright, CI, and AI-assisted workflows.
• Collaborate with DevOps on shift-left testing and reliable environments.
