Job summary

Groupon in Warsaw is seeking a Junior Payroll Analyst to learn the full payroll cycle hands-on while supporting end-to-end monthly processing and data preparation for our external provider.

You will work with AI-assisted workflows to automate checks, reconcile outputs, respond to employee payroll queries, and maintain documentation. Mentoring will guide you toward Payroll Analyst and Senior Analyst roles.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a corporate environment.
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers and deadlines.
• Genuine curiosity about AI and willingness to learn AI-assisted ways of working.
• Good written and spoken English (B2 level) and additional European languages are a plus.
• A growth mindset — you ask questions, take feedback well, and want to build expertise.
• Discretion in handling confidential employee data.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end monthly payroll processing: collecting inputs, validating data for the external payroll provider.
• Reconcile payroll outputs against HR data and flag discrepancies.
• Work with AI tools to automate checks, build reusable workflows, and improve process quality.
• Respond to employee payroll queries and support communication with payroll vendors.
• Maintain payroll documentation, checklists, and SOPs.
• Support audit and SOX compliance activities by preparing accurate control files.
