Job summary

THE/STUDIO is hiring a data engineer to own data across the organization, building an AI-powered data engine and real-time analytics. You will collaborate with engineering and automation teams to connect, clean, and automate data ecosystems, enabling autonomous, data-driven decisions.

This role emphasizes hands-on construction of dashboards, pipelines, and alerting systems, with a focus on operational scalability and rapid prototyping in a fully remote environment.

Qualifications

• Builder mindset: solve ambiguous problems through research and execution.
• Hands-on SQL and cloud data warehouse fundamentals (e.g., BigQuery).
• Experience with BI dashboards and automation tools; end-to-end tool building.

Responsibilities

• Architect the AI data engine for natural-language queries and automated decision support.
• Design self-sustaining pipelines and dashboards with auto-populated metrics.
• Ship end-to-end solutions from raw requirements without formal specs.
• Deploy real-time alerts to detect process breakdowns and deviations.
• Expose timestamps across core platforms to identify bottlenecks.
• Engineer automated workflows linking data sources to reporting and alerting tools.
• Resolve data quality issues at the source and ensure data integrity.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate development and prototyping.
• Document tools and workflows to enable non-technical managers.
