Job summary

Asana is seeking a Data Engineer to join our Warsaw-based Data Engineering team. You will build data products for marketing stakeholders and partner with Data Infrastructure to implement scalable data pipelines.

You’ll work in a hybrid, office-centric model with in-office days Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, with Wednesday optional remote. Proactive, collaborative, and innovative mindset encouraged.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering.
• Degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent.
• Proficient in cloud-based data processing and storage technologies like Databricks, Spark, Airflow.
• Fluent in SQL and proficient in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Scala, Java).
• Proactive self-starter with a proven ability to identify opportunities and execute.
• Excellent communication skills for non-technical stakeholders.
• Curious about AI tools and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and scale end-to-end data products for marketing data needs.
• Influence best practices in Databricks and cloud-based data engineering across teams.
• Leverage AI to build self-serve tools and accelerate Data/GTM workflows.
• Establish trust across business and technical teams on data strategy and execution.
• Implement systems that guarantee data quality, governance, and availability.
