Job summary

GlobalLogic Inc. is seeking a senior reliability engineer to own end-to-end billing platform reliability for JIT revenue platforms, spanning real-time incident response, automated runbooks, and observability.

You’ll drive toil reduction with AI-enabled automation and mentor the team in best practices. You will lead incident responses for billing-critical systems, coordinate cross-functional fixes, and contribute to architecture decisions that improve SRE outcomes across the stack.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in Telecom Billing Ops, BSS support, or related production engineering.
• Deep hands-on with Amdocs or similar telecom billing platforms.
• Led incident response for billing-critical systems and conducted blameless postmortems.
• Significant toil reduction through automation, AI agents, or tooling.
• Strong SQL/PLSQL data validation and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience with ITIL processes and ServiceNow/Jira for incident management.
• Proficiency with Python/Shell/PL-SQL for automation in production Billing pipelines.
• Hands-on with CI/CD and cloud environments; familiar with Git workflows.

Responsibilities

• Billing Operations & Platform Reliability across Mobile, Broadband, Enterprise, and B2B/B2C customers.
• Validate data pre-run, resolve discrepancies, credits, and disputes before invoicing.
• Perform bill reconciliation and monitor KPIs for billing accuracy and SLAs.
• Lead P1/P2 incident response; triage, cross-system diagnosis, and blameless postmortems.
• Support month-end/year-end closings; ensure regulatory and audit compliance.
• Coordinate with Order Management, Provisioning, Finance, and IT on systems issues.
• Serve as escalation lead for complex multi-system incidents.
• Drive runbook quality and automation standards; ensure actionability and verification.
• Own blameless postmortems; identify systemic root causes and track fixes.
• Design AI agent roadmap for billing workflows and lead adoption.
• Mentor teammates through code reviews, pairing, and post-incident coaching.
• Collaborate with Domain Architects on billing platform decisions affecting SRE.
