Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a driven Business Analyst to support and accelerate AI initiatives across the organization. You will identify opportunities, gather requirements, and partner with cross-functional teams to implement AI solutions using Azure AI and other platforms.

The role requires strong business analysis skills, experience with AI/ML projects, and the ability to translate needs into actionable specifications while ensuring governance and data privacy compliance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in energy or industrial sector.
• 2+ years of experience on AI/ML projects.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, data lifecycle, and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and prioritize AI opportunities with stakeholders.
• Gather and document requirements via interviews, workshops, and reviews.
• Translate business needs into functional and technical specs for AI solutions.
• Perform cost-benefit analyses and define KPIs to measure AI value.
• Collaborate with data scientists, IT teams, and vendors to design and deploy AI solutions.
• Support AI delivery on Azure AI including data prep, validation, and governance.
• Ensure compliance with ethics, data governance, and privacy regulations.
• Liaise between business, technical teams and external vendors; present updates.
• Drive change management and promote user adoption with training.
• Maintain project documentation and contribute to process optimization and AI governance.
