Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst to support and drive AI initiatives across the organization.

This role focuses on identifying opportunities, gathering requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement AI solutions in an industrial energy environment. The successful candidate will work with data scientists, IT teams, and vendors to ensure design, development and deployment of AI solutions, while promoting governance and change management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in energy or industrial sector.
• 2+ years of AI/ML project experience.
• Strong AI/ML concepts, data lifecycle, and cloud platforms.
• Proficiency with Power BI, Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and prioritize AI opportunities with stakeholders.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements through interviews and reviews.
• Translate business needs into clear functional and technical specs for AI solutions.
• Perform cost-benefit analyses, impact assessments, and define KPIs for AI value.
• Collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers, IT teams, and vendors for design and deployment of AI solutions.
• Support AI delivery using platforms such as Azure AI including data prep and governance.
• Ensure compliance with ethical AI standards, data governance and privacy.
• Act as liaison between business and technical teams, providing updates and business cases.
• Drive change management and user adoption through training and communication.
• Maintain project documentation and contribute to processes and governance.

This role will focus on identifying business opportunities, gathering and analyzing requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement AI solutions using a variety of technologies and platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Business Requirements gathering concepts, excellent analytical skills, and experience working in complex industrial or energy environments.

How you will make an impact

• Partner with business stakeholders to identify, assess, and prioritize AI opportunities that align with strategic objectives.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process reviews.
• Translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications for AI-driven solutions.
• Perform cost-benefit analyses, impact assessments, and define KPIs to measure AI solution effectiveness and business value.
• Collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers, IT teams, and vendors to ensure successful design, development, and deployment of AI solutions.
• Support AI solution delivery using platforms such as Microsoft Azure AI, including data preparation, validation, and governance activities.
• Ensure compliance with ethical AI standards, data governance policies, and data privacy regulations.
• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors, providing project updates and business case presentations.
• Drive change management initiatives and promote user adoption of AI solutions through effective communication and training support.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and contribute to process optimization, automation initiatives, AI governance frameworks, and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the energy or industrial sector.
• 2+ years of experience working on AI/ML projects.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, data lifecycle, and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

The minimum salary for this position in the location specified below is as follows:

For Italy Milan: starting from 44 800 Euros gross per year as minimum salary

The final offer will be based on candidate location, skills and qualifications, experience, and aligned with internal pay structures.
