Job summary

Spelman College seeks an Advancement Communications Officer to develop and deploy communications that advance fundraising, donor engagement and stewardship priorities. You will craft newsletters, email campaigns, donor stories and press materials while coordinating with the Communications Division to ensure brand alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field is required.
• Minimum three years of job-related experience; higher education fundraising experience preferred.
• Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills with excellent organizational ability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy communications for fundraising, donor engagement and stewardship.
• Collaborate with Director to create digital and print content: donor/student stories, features, press releases, newsletters and emails.
• Manage mass communications, scheduling, segmentation and timely delivery using approved platforms.
