ERGO is seeking a talented actuarial professional to support financial reporting and IFRS 17/Solvency II processes across ERGO Group entities. You will help develop actuarial methodologies and maintain data analysis and IT systems in a dynamic, international team.

With a university degree in actuarial sciences and 3+ years of experience, you will work closely with actuaries, accounting specialists and IT professionals, contributing to complex reporting initiatives while growing your technical

Qualifications

• University degree in actuarial science, econometrics, statistics, insurance finance and accounting, mathematics or a related field.
• 3+ years experience in the actuarial or insurance accounting domain.
• Strong programming skills in VBA, Power BI, Python or R.
• Excellent English communication in an international environment.
• Ability to work in a multicultural, cross-country team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with financial and actuarial reporting and IFRS 17/Solvency II results.
• Develop and maintain data analysis and IT systems for ERGO Group entities.
• Support reporting processes improvements and methodology development.
• Collaborate with international teams of actuaries, accounting and IT professionals.
• Participate in reserve reviews and data validation activities.
• Possible Product Owner duties for actuarial/IT/accounting systems.

About the role

In this role you will assist with financial and actuarial reporting, development of actuarial methodologies as well as development and maintenance of data analysis and IT systems for ERGO Group entities internationally. Moreover, you will help improve reporting processes and support the analysis of data and results. How you will get the job done

• working closely with international teams of actuaries, insurance accounting specialists and IT professionals to deliver shared objectives
• communicating with life and health ERGO Group entities via emails, calls, on‑site meetings and workshops to clarify system requirements and process changes, actuarial methodologies, as well as IFRS 17 and Solvency II results
• contributing to the development and enhancement of actuarial methodologies and guidelines for life and health insurance business
• supporting the planning and execution of reserve reviews, gaining hands‑on insight into key financial drivers
• helping manage data flows and analyze results within IFRS 17 processes across ERGO systems
• working with FIS Prophet, incl. Prophet ALS (Prophet Asset & Liability Strategy) actuarial modelling software to prepare and analyze IFRS 17 and Solvency II results
• assisting in collecting, validating and reviewing IFRS 17 closing figures to ensure accurate and timely reporting
• contributing to the further development of actuarial, financial and IT systems through the implementation of new features
• supporting the coordination of intragroup reinsurance reserving under IFRS 17 and learning about regulatory best practices
• being open to taking on the role of Product Owner for selected ERGO Group actuarial, IT or accounting systems

Skills and experience you will need

• advanced English skills (C1 level or higher)
• a university degree in Actuarial Science, Econometrics, Statistics, Insurance Finance and Accounting, Mathematics or a related field
• 3+ years of job experience in the actuarial field and insurance accounting, equipping you with practical knowledge and skills
• programming skills (VBA, Power BI, Python, R)
• strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
• ability to work effectively as part of a team in an international environment
• intercultural awareness and willingness to collaborate across countries
• a proactive, curious mindset with the ability to take initiative
• willingness to travel internationally on occasion
• flexibility, resilience and openness to change
• strong motivation to learn and develop with support from experienced colleagues

Nice to have

• actuarial exams completed or currently in progress
• experience with FIS Prophet – FIS Prophet is an actuarial modelling and projection software used to calculate, analyse and report insurance liabilities and asset cash flows
• experience with other actuarial modelling software, e.g. Moody’s RiskIntegrity / AXIS, Pathwise, Risk Agility Financial Modeller (RAFMod)
