Job summary

ERGO Technology & Services S.A. (ET&S) seeks a data & AI specialist to drive digitalisation projects across the insurance value chain. You will prepare and integrate diverse data sources for GenAI and ML/LLM applications, and deploy scalable AI solutions in cloud environments.

The role emphasizes collaboration with international teams, production-ready MLOps, and advisory support to business units. Warsaw/Gdansk offices with flexibility for remote work within Poland.

Qualifications

• University degree in natural sciences, applied mathematics, computer science, business informatics or related field.
• Strong data modelling and data visualization with scalable data management, ETL pipelines and MLOps in production.
• Experience with ML/GenAI, LLMs, RAG architectures and agent-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement digitalisation projects leveraging AI across the insurance value chain.
• Prepare and integrate large volumes of data for GenAI solutions.
• Contribute to deployment and operation of ML/GenAI solutions (MLOps).
• Design, implement and operate scalable data-management and GenAI solutions in cloud environments.
• Advise operational units to realise value from AI results.

How you will get the job done

• developing and implementing strategic digitalisation projects to gain sustainable competitive advantages through the use of AI across the entire insurance value chain
• preparing and integrating large volumes of structured, semi-structured and unstructured data from diverse sources to make them usable for (Gen)AI solutions
• contributing to the productive deployment and operation of machine learning and (Gen)AI solutions (MLOps), with a focus on use cases based on structured, semi-structured and unstructured data, including the integration of (Gen)AI applications and processes
• designing, implementing and operating scalable data-management and (Gen)AI solutions for the use of structured, semi-structured and unstructured data in cloud environments
• supporting and advising operational units in using the results of this work, in particular for the initial development and further enhancement of machine learning and (Gen)AI applications, in order to realise the expected added value and generate competitive advantages

Skills and experience you will need

• fluency in English and German
• university degree in natural sciences, (applied) mathematics, computer science, business informatics or a related field
• sound knowledge of and experience in data modelling and data visualization, with a strong focus on scalable data management concepts – including experience with standardized ETL processes and data pipelines – as well as practical experience in putting these and MLOps into production
• sound knowledge of one or more programming, scripting and database languages (e.g. Python, Spark, SQL), as well as experience with version control systems (e.g. GitHub) and cloud technologies (e.g. Azure, AWS)
• willingness to innovate and a proactive way of working, combined with the ability to think and act in a networked manner, in order to lay the foundation for the development and production deployment of (Gen)AI and LLM technologies
• experience in designing and implementing data- and AI-driven solutions based on classical ML models, LLMs, RAG architectures and agent-based systems
• preferably industry experience in insurance
• willingness to travel
