Hempel Paints Kuwait Company W.L.L. in Poland invites an Accountant Trainee to gain hands-on experience in finance across international markets. You will support daily banking and payments, assist with treasury activities, and learn essential accounting processes in a global, collaborative environment.

This paid internship offers 25 hours per week with a hybrid model in Gdańsk. You'll work with D365, AX 2009 and SAP, build Excel skills, and collaborate with global teams to drive process

Qualifikationen

• Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• Ideally in your 3rd year of studies or above.
• Available to work at least 25 hours per week.
• Strong English and Polish language skills.
• Advantageous to be proactive and eager to learn.

Aufgaben

• Support processing of outgoing payments following internal procedures.
• Post bank transactions and assist with bank statements processing.
• Assist with booking GL transactions based on bank statement data.
• Support posting of corporate card statements (Eurocard/AMEX).
• Participate in daily bank and account reconciliations.
• Support bank and loan revaluation activities.
• Assist with month-end closing processes and monthly controls preparation.
• Prepare reports, documentation and audit samples.
• Maintain accurate financial records and support ad-hoc tasks.
• Collaborate with global finance teams to drive process improvements.

As an Accountant Trainee, you will become part of our international finance team and support daily banking and payment-related activities across multiple markets. In this role, you will:

• Support the processing of outgoing payments in line with internal procedures
• Post bank transactions and support the processing of bank statements
• Assist with booking GL transactions based on bank statement information
• Support the posting of corporate card statements (Eurocard/AMEX)
• Participate in daily bank reconciliations and account reconciliations
• Assist with bank and loan revaluation activities
• Support month‑end closing processes and preparation of monthly controls
• Prepare reports, documentation, and audit samples
• Help maintain accurate financial records and support ad‑hoc tasks within the team
• Collaborate with colleagues across global finance teams and contribute to ongoing process improvements

To succeed in this role, you should:

• Be pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
• Ideally be in your 3rd year of studies or above
• Be available to work at least 25 hours per week
• Have a good command of both English and Polish
• Demonstrate strong analytical and logical thinking skills
• Have good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Be proactive and comfortable taking initiative
• Be willing to learn from mistakes and continuously develop your skills
• Communicate openly and effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
• Have excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to work
