Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an IT Operations Specialist to monitor and support 24/7 IT operations, supervise VTOM batch processing, and provide first-level incident troubleshooting. You will escalate per procedures and SLAs, while communicating with French-speaking clients and collaborating with technical support teams.

The role requires Linux/Windows familiarity, scripting basics, ITIL knowledge, and strong customer service skills to maintain high availability and adherence to processes.

Qualifications

• Good working knowledge of VTOM, including job monitoring, failure identification and first-level troubleshooting.
• Practical knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• French language proficiency at C1 level or higher.
• Good command of English for daily communication and documentation.
• Availability to work in a 24/7 shift model, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Basic understanding of IT infrastructure monitoring, batch processing and incident management.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, follow procedures and escalates issues when required.
• Previous experience in IT Operations, Monitoring or Service Desk environments.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools and processes.
• Basic scripting skills, such as Bash or PowerShell.
• ITIL Foundation certification or practical knowledge of ITIL framework.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support IT operations in a 24/7 environment.
• Supervise batch processing activities using VTOM.
• Identify, analyse and perform first-level troubleshooting of operational incidents.
• Escalate issues according to defined procedures and SLA requirements.
• Communicate with French-speaking clients and provide regular status updates.
• Handle operational requests and collaborate with technical support teams.
• Follow established operational processes, documentation and best practices.
