National Bank of Pakistan, Karachi, seeks a Wing Head BI Operations (VP/SVP) to lead Enterprise BI, Data Warehouse, and Data Operations. You will design and optimize data pipelines, BI platforms, and governance frameworks, partnering with stakeholders to deliver data-driven decisions in a large financial institution.

Role requires 8+ years in digital banking/fintech/finance, with at least 4 years in supervisory roles, and a strong track record of data governance, security, and scalable analytics

Qualifications

• Minimum Graduation in Business Administration / Economics / Computer Science / Information Technology / Engineering or equivalent from a local or international university recognized by HEC of Pakistan.
• Candidates having a Masters degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or in related field will be preferred.
• Minimum 08 years of experience in Digital Banking / Fintech / Telecom / Financial Institution, incl. 04 years in supervisory/managerial role in DB Admin / Data Analytics / BI.

Responsabilités

• To manage and support the Banks Enterprise BI, Data Warehouse, and Data Operations platforms.
• To design, develop, and optimize data integration, ETL/ELT processes, and data pipelines.
• To ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and operational stability of BI platforms and reporting environments.
• To develop, maintain, and optimize SQL scripts, database objects, and data transformation processes.
• To build, maintain, and support enterprise dashboards, reports, semantic models, and self-service analytics solutions.
• To collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver scalable, data-driven solutions.
• To investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve data, reporting, and system issues with root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• To establish and enforce data quality, governance, security, and operational standards across BI platforms.
• To monitor platform performance, manage SLAs, and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, reliability, and user experience.
• To prepare and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and knowledge repositories for ongoing operations.
• To lead capacity planning, performance tuning, and infrastructure optimization for BI platform.
• To coordinate with Infrastructure, DB, Info Security, App Support, and business teams for seamless BI delivery and continuity.
• To support regulatory, management, and ad hoc reporting ensuring timely, accurate enterprise data.
• To evaluate and recommend improvements in BI technologies, data architecture, automation, and processes.
• To perform any other assignment as assigned by supervisor(s).

Educational /Professional Qualification:

• Minimum Graduation in Business Administration / Economics / Computer Science / Information Technology / Engineering or equivalent from a local or international university / college / institute recognized by the HEC of Pakistan
• Candidates having a Masters degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or in related field will be preferred

Experience:

• Minimum 08 years of experience in Digital Banking and / or Fintech and / or Telecom and / or Financial Institution, including 04 years of experience in supervisory / managerial role in Database Administration and / or Data Analytics and / or Business Intelligence and / or BI & Data Platform Management
• Candidates having experience in Enterprise BI platforms and / or Data Solutions and / or Strategic Data Policies, supporting data-driven decision-making would be preferred

Other Skills / Expertise / Knowledge Required:

• Strong understanding of Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse, Data Operations, and enterprise reporting platforms
• Ability to develop and execute BI strategies aligned with the Banks business objectives and digital transformation initiatives
• Experience in implementing Data Governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, security, scalability, and regulatory compliance across BI platforms
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate business requirements into effective data-driven solutions
• Experience in establishing BI operational governance, defining SLAs, KPIs, and implementing service management best practices
• Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, data integration, dimensional data modeling, and data quality management
