Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in banking/fintech/financial institutions.
• At least 3 years in Data Architecture and/or Data Modelling and/or Data Warehousing/Data Lakehouse.
• Experience with cloud/hybrid data platforms, enterprise databases, BI ecosystems, data security/privacy and banking regulatory requirements.

Educational /Professional Qualification:

• Minimum Graduation in Business Administration / Economics / Computer Science /Information Technology / Engineering or equivalent from a local or international university/ college / Institute recognized by the HEC of Pakistan
• Candidates having a Masters degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Computer Information Systems / Engineering / Information Technology or relevant certification would be preferred

Experience:

• Minimum 06 years of experience in banking and / or Fintech and / or Financial Institution,including 03 years of experience in Data Architecture and / or Data Modelling and / or DataWarehousing / Lakehouse and / or Data Integration and / or MDM (Master DataManagement) and / or Business Intelligence
• Candidates having experience with cloud and / or hybrid data platforms and / or enterprisedatabases and / or BI ecosystems and / or data security / privacy and / or bankingregulatory requirements would be preferred

Other Skills / Expertise / Knowledge Required:

• Strong knowledge of Enterprise Data Architecture, Data Warehouse, Data Lakehouse, DataMesh, Data Fabric, and Modern Data Platform architecture
• Expertise in designing and implementing ETL/ELT solutions, enterprise data integration, APIintegration, Change Data Capture (CDC), event-driven architectures, and streaming datapipelines
• Familiarity with cloud and hybrid data ecosystems, including any of (Microsoft Azure, AWS,Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, and Apache Spark-based) platforms
• Knowledge of enterprise integration technologies, including REST APIs, message queues,Kafka, event streaming, and microservices architecture
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, presentation, andcommunication skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements intoscalable enterprise data solutions

Outline of Main Duties / Responsibilities

• To lead the development and execution of the enterprise-wide data architecture strategy, aligned with the Bank's digital transformation and regulatory requirements
• To oversee the management and maintenance of enterprise data models, ensuring integrity, scalability, and alignment across business units and systems
• To establish and enforce data governance standards, policies, and best practices to ensure secure, compliant, and high-quality data management
• To establish enterprise-wide data standards, naming conventions, metadata standards, and modelling guidelines
• To ensure alignment between enterprise architecture, business architecture, application architecture, and data architecture
• To design enterprise Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Lakehouse architectures
• To define enterprise data integration patterns for batch, real-time, streaming, API-based, and event-driven integrations
• To establish enterprise ETL/ELT architecture and data movement standards
• To collaborate with data engineering, analytics, IT, and business teams to design scalable data integration and storage solutions supporting enterprise-wide needs
• To collaborate with Data Governance teams to implement enterprise data governance frameworks
• To lead data quality management, metadata management, data lineage, and Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives for trusted and governed data
• To mentor and lead the data architecture team, driving technical excellence and continuous improvement
• To manage vendor relationships and partnerships to implement modern data architecture and advanced analytics tools
• To stay updated on emerging technologies in data architecture, cloud platforms, and advanced analytics to maintain a future-ready data ecosystem
• To perform any other assignment as assigned by the supervisor(s)
