Job summary

National Bank of Pakistan in Karachi seeks a Wing Head - GL Control (VP) to provide strategic leadership of the GL Control Wing, overseeing data collection for GL balancing and validation. The role reports to the Divisional Head - SBP Reporting & General Accounting.

Requirements include a minimum 8 years in finance/accounts, ACCA/ICMA/CA Part Qualified preferred, and strong MS Excel, Power BI, and communication skills to drive accurate MIS reporting and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum graduation from a local or international university recognized by HEC of Pakistan.
• ACCA/ICMA/CA Part Qualified candidates will be preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in finance and/or accounts, ideally with a financial institution or audit firm.
• Hands-on experience in GL accounts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to the GL Control Wing for GL balancing and validation data collection.
• Represent the GL Control Wing in forums/committees on GL balancing and related issues.
• Elevate reasons for non-balancing and non-validation, and review remediation action plans.
• Elevate outstanding/high-priority action plans for timely resolution.
• Analyze and present monthly/quarterly/annual MIS reports for GL balancing.
