Job summary

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in GL accounts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to the GL Control Wing for GL balancing and validation data collection.
• Represent the GL Control Wing in forums/committees on GL balancing and related issues.
• Elevate reasons for non-balancing and non-validation, and review remediation action plans.
• Elevate outstanding/high-priority action plans for timely resolution.
• Analyze and present monthly/quarterly/annual MIS reports for GL balancing.

Reporting to:

Educational /Professional Qualification:

• Minimum Graduation or equivalent from a local or international university / college / institute recognized by the HEC of Pakistan
• ACCA Qualified and / or ICMA Qualified and / or CA Part Qualified candidates will be preferred

Experience:

• Minimum 08 years of experience in finance and / or accounts and / or article ship preferably with a financial institution and / or audit firm
• Hands on experience in handling GL accounts will be preferred

Other Skills / Expertise / Knowledge Required:

• Sound understanding of business and financial acumen
• Excellent business communication, report writing and analytical skills
• Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Basic understanding of Power BI
• Detail oriented with high level of accuracy
• Well conversant with relevant regulatory guidelines

Outline of Main Duties / Responsibilities

• To provide strategic leadership and direction to the GL Control Wing with respect to collection of data regarding GL balancing and Validation
• To represent the GL Control Wing in various forums / committees on matters pertaining to GL balancing and related issues
• To elevate reason for non balancing and non validation
• To review management provided action plan for remediation of non balancing and non validation
• To elevate outstanding/ high priority matters of action plans for resolution
• To analyze & present monthly, quarterly and annual MIS reports for GL balancing for desired action plan
• To perform any other assignment as assigned by the supervisor(s)
