Job summary

Huawei Pakistan is seeking an experienced Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manager to lead telecom network operations for a large-scale Managed Services project. The role covers end-to-end preventive and corrective maintenance across a multivendor environment, ensuring high network availability, SLA compliance and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has deep O&M telecom expertise, strong BTS/RAN, transmission and power knowledge, and proven ability to lead regional teams, manage suppliers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Telecom/Electronics or related field.
• 10–15 years experience in Telecom O&M or Managed Services.
• Experience with multivendor environments; familiarity with Huawei/Nokia/ZTE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Preventive and Corrective Maintenance across multiple regions.
• Manage regional O&M teams, field engineers and outsourced resources; coordinate with suppliers/subcontractors.
• Maintain relationships with telecom customers and stakeholders; handle escalations and communicate performance updates.
• Drive operational excellence, cost optimization and adherence to HSE.
• Develop performance dashboards and reports using digital O&M platforms.

Job description

Huawei Pakistan is looking for an experienced Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manager to lead telecom network operations for a large-scale Managed Services project.

The role involves managing end-to-end preventive and corrective maintenance activities across a multivendor telecom network environment, ensuring high network availability, operational excellence, SLA compliance and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in telecom O&M, strong technical knowledge of RAN/BTS, transmission and power infrastructure, and a proven ability to lead regional teams, manage suppliers and drive operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Telecom Network Operations

• Lead daily Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) activities across multiple regions.
• Ensure network availability, service continuity and timely resolution of network faults.
• Monitor network performance and ensure compliance with agreed SLAs and operational KPIs.
• Oversee fault management, escalation handling and service restoration activities.

2. Team & Supplier Management

• Lead and manage regional O&M teams, field engineers and outsourced resources.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely and quality service delivery.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvements.
• Manage resource allocation, workforce productivity and operational efficiency.

3. Customer & Stakeholder Management

• Maintain strong relationships with telecom customers and key stakeholders.
• Handle operational escalations and ensure timely resolution of customer concerns.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide operational updates to customers.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through effective service delivery and communication.

4. Operational Excellence & Cost Optimization

• Drive operational efficiency and cost optimization initiatives.
• Identify operational risks and implement preventive measures.
• Improve maintenance processes, service quality and field execution standards.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and operational procedures.

5. Digital Operations & Reporting

• Utilize digital platforms such as MyWFM, Talon View, RMS/IVMS and Power BI for operational monitoring and reporting.
• Develop performance dashboards and management reports.
• Analyze operational data and identify areas for improvement.
• Drive digitalization of field operations and maintenance processes.

Requirements

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecom Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field.

Professional Experience

• 10–15 years of experience in Telecom Operations & Maintenance or Managed Services.
• Strong experience managing large-scale telecom O&M operations in a multivendor environment.
• Experience working with telecom operators or vendors such as Huawei, Nokia and ZTE will be preferred.
• Proven experience managing regional teams, suppliers and field operations.

Technical Knowledge

• Strong understanding of BTS/RAN network infrastructure.
• Knowledge of transmission networks and telecom power systems.
• Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance operations.
• Understanding of fuel management, fault management and network availability.
• Familiarity with digital O&M platforms and performance monitoring tools.
