Job summary

Huawei in Pakistan is seeking experienced Multi-Vendor Telecom Optix Transmission Engineers / Team Leads across the country, with strong hands-on experience in DWDM, OTN, PTN, SDH and EMS/NMS/monitoring systems.

You will lead optical planning, oversee HLD/LLD for metro and long-haul networks, analyze traffic and forecast bandwidth, and coordinate with vendors and internal teams. A BE/BSc in Electrical, Electronics, Telecom or related field is required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Huawei and ZTE Optical TXN systems.
• Experience in multi-vendor optical network integration, planning and design.
• Experience with Huawei, ZTE, Nokia and FiberHome transmission equipment.
• Experience with network swap, upgrade and merger projects.
• Strong skills in link budgets, optical protection schemes, NMS platforms, and routing/MPLS integration.
• Experience with Zong, Jazz, Telenor, Ufone/PTCL or similar operators.
• Strong analytical thinking, project management, vendor negotiation, and cross-functional communication.
• BE/BSc in Electrical, Electronics, Telecom Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise optical planning engineers to ensure timely delivery of network designs and project milestones.
• Oversee HLD and LLD for metro, regional, and long-haul optical transport networks (DWDM, OTN, FTTS, IPRAN).
• Analyze traffic patterns, perform link budget and span analyses, and forecast bandwidth demands.
• Manage CapEx planning, budget forecasting, BOM preparation, RFPs, and technical tender evaluations.
• Coordinate with equipment vendors, contractors, and internal departments.
• Define operational standards and drive improvements in network deployment and monitoring.

• Qualification: B.E./B.Sc. Electrical, Electronics, Telecom Engineering or equivalent; Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or Telecommunications.
